Richmond Traders featured in The Local Project

Richmond Traders has been featured online by The Local Project and will be published in their upcoming print issue ‘The Commercial Project’.

In the article, writer Peter Bain calls the development a ‘vibrant urban village’, describing the careful planning of the public realm spaces which reinstate the interfaces with the busy streets, providing laneways leading into a new Market Hall. ‘SJB and NH Architecture’s collaborative efforts culminate in a lively market hall, offering elevated retail opportunities for local traders alongside a comprehensive full-line supermarket.’

He goes on to reflect on the impact mixed use developments like these that are designed to bring together high-density housing with amenity and a revitalized public realm might have in paving the way for future projects: ‘Richmond Traders demonstrates the potential of build-to-rent properties in Australia’s dense metro regions, emphasising the value of amenities to the market. With novel retail and commercial spaces and secure, high-end apartments, the project is an impressive offering to the local community, reshaping the landscape with thoughtful design and purposeful intent.’
