Montpelier Development

The Montpelier Development is a proposed mixed-use residential development in the historic Salamanca precinct. There is a great deal of archaeological interest in the area because of a concentration of artefacts from the early period of European settlement.

Our design seeks to reinvigorate the site, which currently sits vacant. The proposal is for a vibrant mix of residential accommodation, serviced apartments and a health and wellness centre, as well as numerous food and beverage tenancies to activate the street edge. We’re proposing a new public space that will encourage pedestrian movement through the site and allow space for interpretation of the archaeological significance of the area.

Our design draws on historic contextual cues to establish comfortable relationships of form, scale and texture. We will use modern materials and detailing to ensure a first-class level of finish.

NH Architecture have been engaged to work collaboratively with local architects to realise this ambitious project and breathe new life into this historic precinct.
