As part of Open House Melbourne 2021, Jill Garner (OVGA) was joined by NH Director Hamish Lyon to reveal the stories, ideas and policy decisions behind some of Melbourne’s most significant urban public spaces and buildings.

The tour focuses on how large-scale and design-led civic infrastructure projects invest in the long-term future of the city. Jill and Hamish speak to the importance of ‘designing policy for people’ and point to examples of where, at times, modest yet impactful lobbying to amend planning policy have instigated changes for the better to create a long lasting contribution to our city.
